A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA,
APPROVING THE PRELIMINARY PLAT SUBMITTED BY DEL WEBB'S COVENTRY
HOMES OF TUCSON FOR A 134 LOT SINGLE FAMILY DETACHED HOME SUBDMSION
KNOWN AS CONTINENTAL RANCH ACTIVE ADULT CENTER PHASE 2, PARCEL 41S,
SUNFLOWER TO BE LOCATED ON 32.99 ACRES LOCATED APPROXIMATELY 1/2 MII,I~.
NORTH OF TIlE INTERSECTION OF COACHLINE BOULEVARD AND TWINPEAKS ROAD
AND MORE PARTICULARLY IN A PORTION OF THE SOUTHWEST 1/4 OF SECTION 16,
TOWNSHll~ 12 SOUTH~ RANGE 12 EAST.
WHEREAS, the Town of Marana has previously approved the specific plan for the area
known as Continental Ranch, located within the corporate boundaries of the Town of Marana,
Arizona; and
WHEREAS, Del Webb's Coventry Homes of Tucson is the owner of property located
approximately 1/2 mile north of the intersection of Coachline Boulevard and Twin Peaks Road and
more particularly within a portion of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 16, Township 12 South, Range
12 East, and has applied to the Town of Marana for approval of a preliminary plat for a 134 lot single
family detached home subdivision to be located on 32.99 acres; and
WHEREAS, the preliminary plat was presented to the Mararia Planning Commission on
September 24, 1997, and the Planning Commission recommended 7-0 that the Town Council approve
the preliminary plat; and
WHEREAS, the Mararm Town Council heard from the representative of the owner, staff,, and
members of the public at the regular Town Council meeting held November 18, 1997, and has
determined that the preliminary plat map submitted by Del Webb's Coventry Homes of Tucson should
be approved.
NOW, TIgREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council ofthe Town of Marana
that the Continental Ranch Active Adult Center Phase 2, Parcel 41 S, Sunflower preliminary plat map
for a 134 lot single family detached home subdivision to be located on 32.99 acres submitted by Del
Webb's Coventry Homes of Tucson and located approximately ~ mile north of the intersection of
Coachline Boulevard and Twin Peaks Road and more particularly in a portion of the Southwest 1/4
of Section 16, Township 12 South, Range 12 East, be approved.
