A RESOLUTION OF TI-IE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA,
APPROVING THE ADDITION AND ANNEXATION OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN
SECTION 23, TOWNSHIP I1 SOUTH, RANGE 12 EAST INTO REDHAWK CANYON
COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 2.
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the RedHawk Canyon Community Facility District
No. 2 has adopted a resolution approving the addition and annexation of property located in
Section 23, Township 11 South, Range 12 East and more particularly described in Exhibit A,
attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference; and
WHEREAS, the annexation and addition of property to a community facilities distrct is
governed by Arizona Revised Statutes Section 48-714(B), which provides that property may be
added into a community facilities district upon the governing board's (in this situation the Marana
Town Council) adoption of a resolution of intention to do so; and
WHEREAS, the Marana Town Council finds that such annexation and addition of property
into the RedHawk Canyon Community Facilities District No. 2 is in the best interest of the
citizens of the Town of Mararia.
NOW, TI-FP. REFORE, BE 1T RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Council of the Town of
Mararia hereby approve a resolution of intention to annex the property more particularly described
in the attached Exhibit A into the RedItawk Canyon Facilities District No. 2.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, an emergency is hereby declared to exist affecting the
health, safety, and wetfare of the people of Marana, and this Resolution shall become immediately
effective.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Mararia, Arizona,
this 18th day of November, 1997.
