A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARAN& ARIZONA,
APPROVING THE CONTINENTAL RANCH PARCELS 36-38 AND 40 PRELIMINARY PLAT
SUBM/TTED BY DEL WEBB'S COVENTRY HOMES OF TUCSON FOR 289 SINGLE
FAMILY DETACHED HOME LOTS ON 90.17 ACRES LOCATED AT THE EAST CORNER
OF COACHLINE BOULEVARD, APPROXIMATELY 1/4 MILE NORTH OF THE
INTERSECTION OF COACHLINE BOULEVARD AND TWIN PEAKS ROAD AND MORE
PARTICULARLY WITHIN A PORTION OF THE SOUTH 'A OF SECTION 16 AND THE
NORTH 'A OF SECTION 21, TOWNSHIP 12 SOIJTH~ RANGE 12 EAST.
WHEREAS, the Town of Marana has previously approved the specific plan for the area
known as Continental Ranch, located within the corporate boundaries of the Town of Marana,
Arizona; and
WHEREAS, Del Webb's Coventry Homes of Tucson is the owner of property located
approximately 1/4 mile north of the intersection of Coachline Boulevard and Twin Peaks Road and
more particularly within a portion of the South % of Section 16 and the North ½ of Section 21,
Township 12 South, Range 12 East, and has applied to the Town of Marana for approval of a
preliminary plat for 289 single family detached home lots on 90.17 acres; and
WHEREAS, the preliminary plat was presented to the Marana Planning Commission on
September 24, 1997, and the Planning Commission recommended 7-0 that the Town Council approve
the preliminary plat; and
WHE/~AS, the Marana Town Council heard from the representative of the owner, staff~ and
members of the public at the regular Town Council meeting held November 4, 1997, and has
determined that the preliminary plat map submitted by Del Webb's Coventry Homes of Tucson should
be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana
that the Continental Ranch Parcels 36-38 and 40 preliminary plat map for 289 single family detached
home lots on 90.17 acres submitted by Del Webb's Coventry Homes of Tucson and located
approximately 1/4 mile north of the intersection of Coachline Boulevard and Twin Peaks Road and
more particularly within a portion of the South ¼ of Section 16 and the North ½ of Section 21,
Township 12 South, Range 12 East, be approved.
