SUBJECT: Resolution No. 2005-135: Relating to Boards and Commissions;
approving the appointment of Robert Allen to the Regional
Transportation Authority.
DISCUSSION
Mayor Honea has been sitting as the Marana representative on the Regional Transportation
Authority board as well as for the Pima Association of Governments. To provide for a more
equitable separation between the two positions, Mr. Honea desires to appoint Robert Allen as the
Marana representative to the board. Mr. Allen has agreed to accept the appointment.
RECOMMENDATION
Mayor and Council's pleasure.
SUGGESTED MOTION
I move to approve Resolution No. 2005-135, appointing Robert Allen as the Marana
representative to the Regional Transportation Authority board.

MARANA RESOLUTION NO. 2005-135
RELATING TO BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS; APPROVING THE
APPOINTMENT OF ROBERT ALLEN TO THE REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION
AUTHORITY.
WHEREAS, the Regional Transportation Authority was created to address issues
affecting all jurisdictions within Pima County; and
WHEREAS, Ed Honea, Mayor, has been sitting as the Marana representative to
the Regional Transportation Authority board as well as the Pima Association of
Governments representative; and
WHEREAS, Ed Honea desires to appoint Robert Allen as the Regional
Transportation Authority board member in his place as the Marana representative.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town
of Marana, Arizona, that Robert Allen shall be appointed to the Regional Transportation
Authority board as the Marana representative.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana,
Arizona, this 18th day of October, 2005.
