Reuwsaat, Town Manager SUBJECT: Resolution No. 2005-105: Relating to Boards and Commissions; approving the appointments of , and to the Planning & Zoning Commission. DISCUSSION The appointment of Robert Allen to the Town Council and the expiration of the terms of David Parker and Jon Post, effective June 30, 2005, leave three open positions on the Planning & Zoning Commission. Each open position is for a four-year term expiring June 30, 2009. Under the policy adopted by Council on September 4,2001, Council Members received letters of interest and then submitted nominations for potential Commissioners to the Town Clerk. The Clerk notified the nominees, who were then interviewed by the Council in an executive session of a special meeting held on July 26,2005. The successful nominees will be announced at tonight's meeting and will be sworn into office by the Town Clerk. RECOMMENDATION Mayor and Council's pleasure. SUGGESTED MOTION I move to approve Resolution No. 2005-105, appointing to terms expiring June 30, 2009. , and Resolution No. 2005-J05/JCB 07/27/2005/12:22 PM MARANA RESOLUTION NO. 2005-105 RELATING TO BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS; APPROVING THE APPOINTMENTS OF , AND TO THE PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION. WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission has been created by the Town Council to meet and advise the Town Council on zoning issues within the Town; and WHEREAS, the Town Council desires to fill three open seats for terms expiring on June 30, 2005. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona, that , and shall be appointed to the Planning and Zoning Commission with terms of office to expire June 30, 2009.
