B. 4 TO: MAYOR AND COUNCIL FROM: Jocelyn Bronson, Town Clerk SUBJECT: Resolution No. 2005-82: Relating to the Town Council; adopting the re-formatted Town Council meeting agenda. DISCUSSION At the June 21, 2005 Council meeting, staff presented an agenda re-format to Council for consideration. Council directed staff to bring the re-format back to Council for possible adoption at tonight's meeting. The re-formatted agenda is attached as Exhibit A to the resolution. The agenda format was originally part of the Marana Town Code, Appendix A to Section 2-4-4, but was repealed by Ordinance No. 2000.21 on November 7, 2000 to provide flexibility in allowing the format to reflect current practice. Therefore, the re-formatted agenda may be adopted by resolution. Also during the June 21, 2005 presentation of the re-formatted agenda, staff proposed Council consideration of a time change from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. There was indication that Council wanted to discuss the time change further with their constituents. The time change does require revision by ordinance, and staff will be pleased to bring the time change back to Council for consideration and adoption at a future date if they so desire. ATTACHMENT Exhibit A - re-formatted agenda. RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends adoption of the re-formatted Council agenda. SUGGESTED MOTION I move to adopt Resolution No. 2005-82.
