HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 98-064 preliminary plat for silver moon• MARANA RESOLUTION N0.98-64 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA, APPROVING THE SILVER MOON PRELIMINARY PLAT SUBMITTED BY PULTE HOME CORPORATION OF TUCSON FORA 101-LOT SINGLE FAMILY DETACHED HOME SUBDIVISION LOCATED AT THE INTERSECTION OF SILVER MOON WAY AND SILVERBELL ROAD IN A PORTION OF THE NORTH HALF OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION 28, TOWNSHIP 12 SOUTH, RANGE 12 EAST. WHEREAS, the Silver Moon preliminary plat lies within, and is subj ect to, the requirements of the Pima Farms North Specific Plan which was previously approved by the Town of Marana and lies within the corporate boundaries of Marana, Arizona; and WHEREAS, Pulte Home Corporation of Tucson is the owner of approximately 23 acres located on the south side of Silverbell Road at the intersection of Silverbell Road and Silver Moon Way in a portion of the north half of the Northwest Quarter of Section 28, Township 12 South, Range 12 East and has filed a preliminary plat for that property which consists of a 101-lot single family detached home subdivision; and WHEREAS, the preliminary plat for the Silver Moon subdivision was presented to the Marana Planning Commission on May 6, 1998 and was forwarded to the Council without a recommendation and the Council on July 7, 1998 remanded consideration of the preliminary plat back to the Planning Commission for revisions and has now rescinded the vote of July 7, 1998; and WHEREAS, adoption of the Silver Moon preliminary plat with the construction and dedication of a 19,500 square feet common area recreational park to be located within the southwest corner of the subdivision will benefit the Town and its citizens. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, approving the Silver Moon preliminary plat submitted by Pulte Home Corporation of Tucson fora 101-lot single family detached home subdivision located on the south side of Silverbell Road at the intersection of Silverbell Road and Silver Moon Way in a portion of the North Half of the Northwest Quarter of Section 28, Township 12 South, Range 12 East is hereby adopted subject to the following condition: 1. The developer shall allocate 19,500 square feet of common area to be located within the southwest corner of the property and construct a recreational park pursuant to the plans drafted by Don McGann and approved by the Town; said plans and a time line for construction to be submitted to the Town for approval prior to adoption of the final plat.
