Project Name: Twin Peaks/Camino de Manana
Project Status f Details:
• The Tangerine Road~Dove Mountain intersection is complete and is scheduled to be open
after the stamped concrete crosswalks are completed the week of November 8.
• Joint project ribbon cutting scheduled November 18th, roadway opening November 19}h•
Project Name: American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Stimulus Project Phase
1 -Repaving and Overlay of Sandario, Twin Peaks and Tangerine Roads/American Re-
covery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Stimulus Project Phase 2 -Repaving of Marana
Road
Project Status f Details:
• Final striping of Tangerine Rd. between I-10 and Thornydale Rd. is scheduled to be com-
pleted by mid November in time for the EI Tour de Tucson bicycle event.
• Repaving of Marana Rd. from Sandario Rd. to the western Town limits is pending ADOT
approval for issuance of the solicitation for bid.

Project Name: Marana Builds Habitat
Strategic Plan Initiative: Community Building-Partner, support and promote the development
of diversified and affordable housing opportunities for residents.
Project Status f Details:
• Home dedication will be on November 20 at 1 1 a.m.
Project Name: Sargent Aerospace and Defense
Project Status f Details:
• Sargent has submitted plans for an additional mezzanine on the north side of the new
structure, which will be used first for storage and then later for offices. The Town has al-
ready approved these updated plans.
• The new building will open in phases, with the manufacturing floor opening first to pro-
vide minimal interruption to production operations.
• Project is proceeding on schedule, with first phase expected to open in April 201 1.
Criminal Justice

Project $tatus~Details:
• Officer Frank Moreno participated in the U.S Drug Enforcement Administrations Red Ribbon
Week. The Ribbon Week is a tribute to fallen DEA agent Enrique (Kiki) S. Camarena and has
become the annual catalyst to show intolerance for drugs in our schools, work places, and com-
munities. Each year, during the last week in October, more than 80 million young people and
adults show their commitment to a healthy, drug-free life by wearing or displaying the Red Rib-
bon.
Community Health and Wellness
Project Name: Marana Car Care Clinic/MOC Community Center Opening
Project Status/Details:
• On Saturday, December 1 1, from 8 a.m.- 12 p.m., the Town of Marana Fleet Services De-
partment, along with PAG Clean Cities and the Marana Chamber of Commerce, will host a
Car Care Clinic.
• Residents will be able to bring their cars in to have a free car check up and be able to talk
to professionals about their vehicle maintenance.
• The Grand Opening of the Community Center at the MOC will also take place during this
event.
Support Services
Project Name: Executive Search -Chief of Police ~ Assistant Town Manager Update
Project Status/Details:
• Six Chief of Police candidates have been invited to the Town for interviews on November
15Th and 1 brh,
Finalists will be recommended at the close of the interview process for interview with the
Town Manager. It is anticipated that a final selection will be made within the week follow-
ing final interviews. Council will confirm candidate at December 7 meeting.
A group of Assistant Town Manager semi-finalist candidates is currently under review. The
list of finalists to be invited to the Town for the interview process is expected to be deter-
mined by the week of November 22^d, with interviews anticipated for early December.

Project Name: Council Working Day
Project Status/Details:
• December 14, 8a.m. to 3p.m at the University of Arizona Recreation Center.
• Council/Staff working day to review strategic plan, prioritize work program for 201 1 (FY
`12) and assess Town operations.
Land Use
Project Name: SPA-10036: Tangerine / Thornydale Specific Plan Amendment
Project Status~Details:
• The existing specific plan provides for the development of single-family residential. The
applicant is proposing to amend the plan to eliminate the approved single-family resi-
dential and to provide for the development of a hotel and multi-family residential. The
project area consists of 51.3 acres.
• The project was most recently submitted under a separate application which proceeded
to the Planning Commission on December 16, 2009. The Planning Commission voted 3-2 to
continue the hearing to the January 27, 2010 meeting. The applicant withdrew the appli-
cation on January 26, 2010.
• Anew application was submitted by The Planning Center on October 27, 2010
Project Name: Cascada North Specific Plan
Project Status f Details:
• The Cascada North Specific Plan, currently under a first review, encompasses a land area
of approximately 665 acres located northwest of Twin Peaks Road and east of I-10. The
Plan incorporates a portion of the existing Cascada Specific Plan and the remaining por-
tion of the Northgate Specific Plan. The Plan will contain higher density residential devel-
opment with an overall smaller disturbance footprint which will dramatically increase pro-
tection of the proposed wildlife corridor.
