Barnett Channel should ultimately remove area from floodplain. 4 Public Outreach • Marana is coordinating with other jurisdictions on public open houses to assist people with viewing the effects of the DFIRMs • Marana is working with other jurisdictions of Pima County on uniform recommendations and outreach materials _ • Marana will work with HOAs and the media to inform en masse areas unaffected by new maps — Dove Mountain area — Continental Ranch area ° — Gladden Farms area • Marana staff will continue to provide one -on -one assistance to citizens which sometimes includes acting as an intermediary to their lender or insurance agent. • Marana will prepare and mail individual recommendations to affected properties.
