Tangerine Rd. Project Status/Details: • From a grant awarded to Trico from the Arizona Commerce Authority through the U.S. Department of Energy, a sun farm consisting of approximately 840 photovoltaic (PV) panels will be constructed southwest of Trico's facility on Tangerine. The purpose of the solar farm is to make solar energy accessible to renters and homeowners who either cannot site a solar system or do not have the means to finance their own system. • Eligible Trico members can purchase a full, half or quarter panel. While Trico will re- tain sole ownership, possession and control of each solar panel, members will have the full rights to the energy output of the panels purchased which will be seen as a credit to the energy usage on their bill. '� g C a Parks and Recreation Project Name Wild Burro Trailhead Project Status./Details: • The Wild Burro Trailhead bids were opened Friday, May 6. • Bids ranged from a low of $190,193 to a high of 397,133. • Bids are being checked and award will be made week of May 16. • The trailhead is 2 acres located south of the Ritz - Carlton employee parking on Secret Springs Drive. The completed trailhead will feature 60 automobile parking spaces, 10 trailer spaces, restroom, ramada, and equestrian facilities. • Trailhead completion scheduled for August 2011. • Trail construction is under way for a 7 mile trail connecting the west and east side of the Tortolita Mountain Park. The trail is named the Ridgeline Trail and is part of Pima Coun- ty's Tortolita Mountain Trail Master Plan. • These projects are financed by 2004 Pima County Park Bonds. Sunset from Ridgeline Trail Support Services Human Resources Project Name: Executive Search — Technology Services Director Project Status /Details: • The executive recruitment process for a Technology Services Director is proceeding. • The position will be announced and open to accept applications on May 9,201 1. • Candidate interviews are anticipated to be conducted mid -June. Project Name: Benefits /Wellness Fair & Benefits Open Enrollment Project Status /Details: • The employee Benefits /Wellness Fair was held in two locations this year, both at the Ma- rana Operations Center (April 20 and the Marana Municipal Complex (April 21 st). • Representatives from our benefit providers and several Marana health - related businesses hosted questions from over 120 employees and CIGNA On -Site Biometric Screenings were made available to all employees. • Benefits open enrollment is scheduled from May 2 nd through May 27th. • This enrollment is considered a "passive" enrollment meaning employees who do not wish to make changes need not re- enroll. • The only exception to this is participation in a Flexible Spending Account. Those currently enrolled in a Flex Account for medical and /or dependent care are required to enroll each year if they wish to continue participation in those benefit options. • Employees are requested to return their benefits enrollment forms indicating no changes or re- enrolling as needed. Project Name: Bike to Work Day Project Status /Details: • In support of the Pima County Regional Task Force Travel Reduction Program, Human Re- sources Coordinator Loren Churchman (serving as the Town's Travel Reduction Coordinator) joined forces with other Town employees to host Bike to Work Day on April 8th. • Fourteen employees took part in the 3.5 mile ride from Gladden Farms to Ora Mae Harn Park. Project Name: Administrative Professionals Honored Project Status /Details: • The Town honored Administrative Professionals on April 27th in appreciation for their hard work and dedicated service to the Town. The group met to enjoy breakfast and honorees were provided a certificate of appreciation.
