a. Continental Ranch Youth Volunteer to Clean Their Park
i. On Wednesday M�y 30, 2007 a maintenance crew arriving to the
park in Continental Ranch was greeted by a group of youth that,
without solicitation, volunteered to assist in the cleaning of the
park.

b. Planning and Zoning Commission Appointment Sought:
i. David Wostenberg desires appointment to a full term on the
Planning and Zoning Commission

2. COMMUNITY HEALTH:
a. Mosquito Abatement
i. In response to the recent number of calls regarding mosquitoes, the
Town is applying larvacide to any and all standing bodies of water
in public areas.

2. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT�:
A. System Upgrades:
1. IBM Infrastructure Replacement
a. The IBM core infrastructure replacement has been
completed. It consists of a new Blade Server
environment and a Storage Area Network (SAN), as
well as a Tape Library system. This was a CIP item
from FY `07. This new system will enable the Town
of Marana to further support the growing needs of
the community as this system is the backbone which
all technology systems and applications run on.
3. PoLicE:
A. Officer Recognition:
1. Office James Paul received a letter of appreciation from
Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training Board (AZ
POST) for his participation in the filming of a training
Video.
2. Officer Kris Reeve's (Marana PD) Army National Guard
Unit was recently attacked during his deployment oversees.
Reeve is OK, though 1 member of his unit was killed in
action during the attack.
