Project Name 2012 -2013 Capital Improvement Program
Project Status /Details:
The 2012 -2013 Capital Improvement Program kicked off October 31S
The first meeting was held on December 8 to begin the review and ranking of all
town projects.
The ranking will be complete by January 23, 2012 in order for the Finance Depart-
ment and Managers office to begin the final review and potential calculation in to
next years budget.

Project Name National Park Service Anza Trail Traveling Exhibit
Project Status /Details:
• The Parks and Recreation Department has partnered with the National Park Ser-
vice and the Marana Heritage Conservancy to coordinate the presentation of a
traveling exhibit that represents the demands and impacts of the Anza Expedition
of 1775 -1776. There is over 13 miles of the Juan Bautista de Anza National His-
toric Trail, which follows the Santa Cruz River, in Marana.
• The traveling exhibit is on display at the Wheeler Taft Abbett Memorial Library
through January 7, 2012.
• The exhibit will be traveling up the Anza Trail to be displayed at various locations
along the route from Nogales, AZ to San Fransico, CA.

Project name: Executive Recruitment — General Manager — Public Services
Project Status /Details:
• The General Manager for Public Services posted open to the public for applica-
tions on November 16, 2011 and will remain open until the position is filled.
• The first round of candidates submitting applications on or before December 15,
2011 will be evaluated and those who best meet the selection criteria for the po-
sition will be invited to an interview process.
• The interview process will include a structured interview with a technical expert/
management panel, a meeting with Public Services employees, a "Meet & Greet"
gathering with Town management staff and a tour of the Marana community and
facilities.
• The recruitment brochure is included at the end of this report.

Project name: Dove Mountain Casitas
Project Status /Details:
• The Dove Mountain Casitas are planned as a mixture of one and two story apart-
ments on approximately 16 acres located on the south side of the Dove Mountain
Blvd. traffic circle.
• The land use for this parcel is Mixed Use Commercial (MUC) in the Dove Mountain
Specific Plan which allows for the development of apartments.
• The project includes a total of 283 one, two and three bedroom units with garages,
covered parking and two swimming pools with a clubhouse facility for residents.
• The sloping, natural terrain of the site is used to create a variety of building eleva-
tions that maximize the views from the site and minimizes the visual impact of the
development.
• The first submittal of the Development Plan and Landscape Plan was recently sub-
mitted and is currently under review.
