Resolution 2012-052 relating to salary schedule for FY 2012-2013
MARANA RESOLUTIC)N NO. 2012-52 RELATING TO PERSONNEL; APPROVING SALARY SCHEDULES FOR CLASSIFIED AND TEMPORARY EMPLOYEES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2012-2013 WHEREAS the Marana Town Code, Section 3-3-1, provides that the Town Council shall adopt a persannel system for classified employees of the Town; and WHEREAS the Town's Personnel Policies and PrQCedures, Policy 3-3, provides that the Town Manager shall ensure the preparation, development and maintenance of a classification plan for classified employees; and WHEREAS the Town's Personnel Policies and Procedures, Policy 3-4, provides that the Tawn Council shall adopt a salary schedule for classified employees; and WHEREAS the Marana Town Code, Sections 3-1-3(C} and (D), create and define a class of Town employees known as term-limited temparary employees and a class of Town employees known as shart-term temporary employees; and WHEREAS Sections 3-1-3{C) and (D) of the Town Code provide that term-limited temporary employees and short-term temporary employees are not subject to the Town's classified salary schedule; and WHEREAS short-term temporary and term-limited temporary employees should be placed on a salary schedule for proper authorization in assigning pay; and WHEREAS the Town Council finds that approving a salary schedule for classified employees and a salary schedule for temporary employees as set forth in this resolution is in the best interests of the Town and its residents. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESULVED BY THE MAYQR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF l�7ARANA, ARIZONA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION l. The Town of Marana hereby approves the Classified Salary Schedule for fiscal year 2Q 12-2013 attached to and incorporated by this reference in this resolution as E�ibit A. SECTION 2. The Town of Marana hereby approves the Temporary Salary Schedule for fiscal year 2012-2013, attached to and incorporated by this reference in this resolution as E�ibit B. Marana Resolution No. 2012-52 SECTION 3. The Town's Manager and staff are hereby directed and authorized ta undertake all other and further tasks required or beneficial to implement the Classified Salary Schedule in E�ibit A and the Temporary Salary Schedule in E�ibit B.
