SUBJECT: Resolution No. 2006-149: Relating to Land Development; declaring
the Commercial Design Standards (Land Development Code Sec-
tion 8.07) as a public record filed with the Town Clerk; and declaring
an emergency.
DISCUSSION
This resolution makes the Commercial Design Standards (Land Development Code Section 8.07)
a public record. This process makes it possible for the Commercial Design Standards to be
adopted by reference under A.R.S. 9 9-802, thereby avoiding the requirement to publish the en-
tire document, as would otherwise be required under A.R.S. 99-812.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends adoption of Resolution No. 2006-149, immediately prior to or at the same
time as the adoption of Ordinance No. 2006.28, the adopting ordinance for the Commercial De-
sign Standards (Land Development Code Section 8.07).
SUGGESTED MOTION
I move to adopt Resolution No. 2006-149, and declaring an emergency.

RELATING TO LAND DEVELOPMENT; DECLARING THE COMMERCIAL DESIGN
STANDARDS (LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE SECTION 8.07) AS A PUBLIC RECORD
FILED WITH THE TOWN CLERK; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
MARANA, ARIZONA, as follows:
SECTION 1. The Commercial Design Standards (Land Development Code Section 8.07)
of the Town of Marana, Arizona, a copy of which is attached to and incorporated in this
resolution as Exhibit A and three copies of which are on file in the office of the Town Clerk, is
hereby declared to be a public record and ordered to remain on file with the Town Clerk.
SECTION 2. Since it is necessary for the preservation of the peace, health and safety of
the Town of Marana that this resolution become immediately effective, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist, and this resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage and
adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
MARANA, ARIZONA, this 19th day of September, 2006.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
The Town of Marana Mayor and Town Council will hold a
Public Hearing on September 19, 2006 at or after 7:00
p.m. at the Marana Municipal Complex located at 11555
W. Civic Center Drive, Marana, Arizona, to consider the
following:
An amendment to the Land Development Code of the
Town of Marana by amending TITLES -- 8 GENERAL
DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS AND 3 DEFINI-
TIONS, by adding Commercial Design Requirements to
Title 8 and including definitions pertaining to Commer-
cial Design Standards to Title 3. Case Number
PCM-05164.
A copy of the Land Development Code is available for
viewing during regular business hours at the Marana Mu-
nicipal Complex located at 11555 W. Civic Center Drive,
Marana, Arizona. For further information on the proposed
Land Development Code Amendment contact the Plan-
ning Department at (520) 382-2600.
