HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2012-055 execution of a one-year extension of IGAMARANA RESOLUTION NO. 2012-055 RELATING TO UTILITIES; APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A ONE-YEAR EXTENSION OF THE INTERGOVERNIVIENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE TOWN OF MARANA AND PIMA COUNTY FOR PROVISIt}N OF WATER CONSUMFTION DATA AND SEWER USER ACCOUNT BILLING SER�ICES WHEREAS Pima County operates and maintains a public sanitary sewerage system and is the designated public sewer system provider for most of Pima County; and WHEREAS the Tawn of Marana is a water provider far residents of a portion of Pima County; and � WHEREAS the Town and Pima County entered into an intergovernmental agreement effective May 19, 2009 for provision of water consumption data and sewer user accaunt billing services which (with previously-adopted extensions) terminated on May 18, 2012; and WHEREAS the Town and Pima County desire retroactively to extend the intergavernmental agreement for one year. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TO��VN OF MARANA, ARIZONA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION l. The one-year e�tension of the intergovernmental agreement between the Tawn of 1Vlarana and Pima County for provision of water consumption data and sewer user account billing services attached as Exhibit A to and incorporated by this reference in this resalution is hereby approved, and the Mayor is hereby authorized ta execute it for and on behalf af the Town of Marana. SECTION 2. The Town's Manager and staff are hereby directed and authorized to undertake all other and further tasks required or beneficial to carry out the terms, obligations, and objectives of the intergovernmental agreement.
