RELATING TO BUILDING CODES; APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE THE EXTENSION OF AN INTERGOVE�NTAL AGREEMENT WITH PIMA
CQUNTY FOR THE REGULATION OF PUBLIC PROPERTY REGARDING CODE
COMPLIANCE FOR PUBLIC BUILDINGS.
WHEREAS the Tawn of Marana and Pirna County desire to extend the term of an intergov-
ernmental agreement for the regulatian of public property within each other's jurisdictional territory
originally dated January 2, 2001; and
WHEREAS the Mayor and Council of the Town of Maxana feel it is in the best interests ofthe
public to e�tend this agreement.
NOW, TH�REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCII, OF THE
TOWN OF 11�IARANA, that the "Third Amendment E�ending Intergovernmental Agreement be-
tween Pima County and the Town of Marana for Regulation of Public Praperty Within Each Other's
Jurisdictional Territory" attached to and incorporated by this reference in this resolution as E�ibit A
is hereby approved, and the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute it for and an behalf of
th� Town of Marana.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town's Manager and staffare hereby directed and au-
thorized to undertake all other and further tasks required or beneficial to carry out the terms, obliga-
tions, and objectives of the aforementioned intergavernmental agreement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE MAYQR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MA-
RANA, ARIZONA, this 19 day of June, 2012.

THIRD AMENDMENT EXTENDING INTERGOVERNMANTAL AGREEMENT
BETWEEN PIMA COUNTY AND THE TOWN OF MARANA FOR REGULATION OF
PUBLIC PROPERTY WITHIN EACH OTHER'S JURISDICTIONAL TERRITORY
This Intergovernmental Agreement Amendment ("IGA") is entered into by and between Pima
County, a body politic and corporate of the State of Arizona ("County") and Town of Marana
("Marana") pursuant to A.R.S. § 11-952.
Recitals
A. County and Marana entered into an IGA for regulation of public property within each other's
jurisdictional property dated January 2, 2001, terminating on June 30, 2005.
B. The Original Agreement, which allows a total of four five year renewals, was retroactively
extended for an additional five years on October 2, 2007, terminating on June 30, 2010, and
extended for an additional two years, effective Ju1y l, 2010, terminating on June 30, 2012.
C. County and Marana desire to extend the IGA for an additional three years, with further renewals
upon the written agreement of the parties.
Agreement
NOW, THEREFORE, County and Mazana, pursuant to the above, and in consideration of the
matters and things hereinafter set forth, do mutually agree as follows:
1. The IGA is extended for an additional three yeazs, effective July l, 2012 and tertninating June
30, 2015, unless sooner terminated or extended pursuant to the provisions of the original IGA. Upon
expiration of the extended term, this Agreement may be extended for additional five year renewals or
any portion thereof, upon the written agreement of the parties.
2. All other terms and provisions of the Original Agreement shall continue in full force and
effect.
In Witness Whereof, County has caused this Intergovernmental Agreement to be executed by
the Chairman of its Board of Supervisors, upon resolution of the Board and attested to by the Clerk
of the Board, and Marana has caused this Intergovernmental Agreement to be executed by the Mayor
and Townfccn�lci� upon r�asolution of the Town of Marana and attested to by the Town Clerk

Intergover�Fit�e�ta� Agreement Determination
The foregoing Intergovernmental Agreement between Pima County and the Town of Marana has
been reviewed pursuant to A.R.S. § 11-952 by the undersigned, who have determined that it is in
proper form and is within the powers and authority granted under the laws of the State of Arizona to
those parties to the Intergovernmental Agreement represented by the undersigned.
