The information in the report is organized into sections based on the elements of the Town’s General Plan: Natural Systems, Built Environment, People and Community, Resource Management, and Land Management. Also identified throughout the plan are Strategic Plan focus ar- easrelatedtoprojectsorprograms. Marana Town Councilmembers: Mayor Ed Honea Vice Mayor Patti Comerford Councilmember David Bowen Councilmember Herb Kai Councilmember Carol McGorray Councilmember Jon Post Councilmember Roxanne Ziegler     2 Table of Contents   Built Environment Construction Activity Tangerine Road additional RTA funding 4 People and Community Community Health and Wellness Star Spangled Spectacular 5 Jack Horton Monument Dedication 5 Resource Management Manager’s Corner Bio 5 Tour 6 Construction Activity Report 7 Business License List 8         3 Built Environment Project Name: Tangerine Road Additional RTA Funding Project Status/Details: The Town submitted an application for RTA Wildlife Linkage funding and was ap- proved on 3-8-12 for approximately $3.6M The funding will be used to increase the size of two (2) drainage structures to bridges for large mammals such as mule deer and Increase the size of six (6) drainage structures to medium sized mammal crossings to include inlet and out- let treatments to accommodate wildlife passage Work will also include funnel fencing and post-construction monitoring It is anticipated that the 1st phase of the project (between La Canada and Thornydale) will take place between 2012-2016 per the RTA schedule Commerce 4 People and Community  Project Name: Star Spangled Spectacular  Project Status/Details: Everyone is invited to the best Fourth of July celebration in Southern Arizona! Visit Marana's Arizona Pavilions district on July 4 for an even- ing of patriotic fun and excitement WHEN: Wednesday, July 4 6:00 p.m. Festivities Begin 9:00 p.m. Fireworks Show WHERE: Arizona Pavilions District Near I-10 and Cortaro Road At Crossroads at Silverbell Park there will be a movie, kids activities and games. It is a great place to relax and enjoy the fireworks show. Project Name: Jack Horton Monument Dedication Project Status/Details: July 12 at 8:30a.m. at Northwest Fire Station #36-13475 Marana Main St. The Town and Northwest Fire will hold a dedication ceremony for the Jack Hor- ton Monument.
