The information in the report is organized into sections based on the elements of the Town's General Plan: Natural Systems, Built Environment, People and Community, Resource Management, and Land Management. Also identified throughout the plan are Strategic Plan focus areas related to projects or programs. New projection equipment will also be brought in for all the theaters as part of the first phase. • The second phase will include extensive improvement for cooking equipment and access to the projection rooms. These improvements are being done to es- tablish the Harkin's brand to the theater. • It is anticipated that the theater wili open the first part of May. Project name: Saguaro Bloom Development Project Status/Details • Several spec homes are currently being built by D.R. Horton. • D.R. Horton is planning to offer homes that range from 1800sqft to approach- ing the 4000sqft mark. • They have also poured several building foundations in preparation for vertical construction. 4 New Construction ��a�m��rv��a��aesa�erea��e��osa�i�sr��eae�a�s�r��aa��s�� P�ect Name: Mobile Town Hall Project Status/Details: • Save the Date: April 20, 2013, 1:15 — 6:30 pm • The Mobile Town Hall will go Out & About to visit four (4) pre-scheduled block parties over a five (5) hour period on the afternoon of April 20 All of the block party locations will be in Gladden Farms. • Participants will be provided with rotating programming including a Sustainability Project presentation highlighting Marana's commitment to balancing environmen- tal, social, and economic needs of our community, and a Police Department demonstration of specialty equipment and working dogs. • Mayor and Council, Managers, and Departments will rotate through to interact with participants at each location for one hour. • This event will have a slightly different format in two areas. (1) Our caravan will only be visiting neighborhood parties — no public venues or parks; and (2) StafF will be asked to introduce themselves and provide a brief description of how the work being done in their department relates to the Strategic Plan and major Town initiatives. Project Name: Collings Foundation Wings of Freedom Tour Project Status/Details: • The WINGS OF FREEDOM TOUR will arrive at Marana Regional Airport at 2:00 PM on April 20 - April 22 at 5:00 PM. • Hours of ground tours and display are: 2:00 PM through 5:00 PM on Friday, April 20; 9:00 AM through 5:00 PM on Saturday, April 21; 9:00 AM through 5:00 PM on Sunday, April 22. • The Nationwide WINGS OF FREEDOM TOUR is in its 23rd year and visits an aver- age of 110 cities in over 35 states annually. Manager's Corner ■e��ie��s��rsaa��s�s��a��s��e��r�eia��oe��e��■ P�ect Name: Andrews Scholar Project StatuslDetails: • The Town of Marana was once again selected by this year's Andrews Scholar. • Caleb Blaschke will start on May 13, and work through August 30. • As part of his experience here at the Town, he will spend time learning about and rotating through all of the Town departments, working on special projects and be responsible for the booth at the League of Arizona Cities and Towns Conference this year.
