Home My WebLink AboutResolution 2013-056 results of the may 21, 2013 general electionMARANA RESOLUTION NO. 2013-056 RELATING TO ELECTIONS; DECLARING AND ADOPTING THE RESULTS OF THE TOWN OF MARANA GENERAL ELECTION HELD ON MAY 21, 2013 WHEREAS the Town of Marana, Pima County, Arizona did hold a general election on the 21 St day of May 2013 for a ballot question regarding the Alternative Expenditure Limitation (Home Rule Option); and WHEREAS the election returns have been presented to and have been canvassed by the Town Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, as follows: SECTION 1. That the total number of ballots cast at said general election, as confirmed by the Pima County Elections Department, was 4,689. SECTION 2. That the total number of ballots rejected at said general election, as confirmed by the Pima County Elections Department, was 0. SECTION 3. That the votes cast for and against the ballot measure were as follows: uestion 1 A resolution proposing an alternative expenditure limitation for the Town of Marana YES — 3,061 NO —1,617 SECTION 4. That it is hereby found, determined and declared of record, that the measure did receive more than one-half of the total number of valid votes cast, and the measure is ratified and approved. SECTION 5. This resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its adoption.
