How can these be incorporated into creating an "entrance" to North Marana including the Marana Road exit? 7/5/2013 3 7/5/2013 � Recommendations: Roadway needs to be streamlined for safety and beautification Add the following: • Curbing • Sidewalks • Drainage channels � • Landscaping • Adequate lighting These amenities can help existing businesses Inciude the needs of Chamber for entrance visibility -. _ Features for the "entrance": • Welcome sign • Archway • Monument and wayfinding system • Billboard • Fitting with the ! design of the area and Main Street • Advertisement opportunities for existing businesses Marana desires to be a sustainable community where residents can work, live, and play. Using the community attributes identified in the previous meetings, what are the most important attributes that should be pursued to reach this goal? 4 7/5/2013 Recomrnendations: Create a viable transportation infrastructure system Public transit Equestrian paths/traifs Bike paths Tie into The Loop Expand technology and communication infrastructure Cell towers Fiberoptics Create Recreational venues Parks Performing Arfs/Enterfainment Encourage Golf courses venues Expand rodeo grounds Emironmentally conscious building in the future Solar Water harvesting LEED (Leadership in Energy & CNG (Compressed Nat�ral Gas) Environmental Design) vehicles for public transit Keep services at the highest level as the Town grows Particularly public safety Municipalities have tools at their discretion to facilitate development and growth, for example, financial incentives. Thinking more broadly, what other tools should be pursued, such as public-private partnerships?
