MARANA RESOLUTION NO. 2006-201
RELATING TO DEVELOPMENT; APPROVING A PRELIMINARY BLOCK PLAT
FOR SANDERS GROVE.
WHEREAS, Meritage Homes of Arizona, Inc., an Arizona Corporation, the owner of
Sanders Grove, has applied for approval of a preliminary block plat on 835 acres, including
Blocks 1 through 35, and Common Areas "A" through "I", and is generally located north of
Marana Road, south of Hardin Road, east of Wentz Road and west of Sanders Road within
portions of Sections 17 and 20, Township 11 South, and Range 11 East; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Marana approved and adopted the specific plan for the area
known as the Sanders Grove Specific Plan on March 1, 2005 (Ordinance 2005.09), located
within the corporate boundaries of the Town of Marana, Arizona; and
WHEREAS, this plat is to be located within the land comprising the Sanders Grove
Specific Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council, at their regular meeting on December 5, 2006, has
determined that the Sanders Grove preliminary block plat should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of
Marana, Arizona, that the Sanders Grove preliminary block plat within the Sanders Grove
Specific Plan and generally located north of Marana Road, south of Hardin Road, east of
Wentz Road and west of Sanders Road within portions of Sections 17 and 20, Township 11
South, and Range 11 East is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona,
this 5th day of December, 2006.
