HomeMy WebLinkAbout11-16-1999 Blue Sheet IGA Community Development Block Grant ProTOWN COUNCIL TOWN MEETING OF INFORMATION MARANA DATE: November 16, 1999 AGENDA ITEM: IX. 2 TO: Mayor and Council FROM: Dick Gear, Community and Economic Development Administrator SUBJECT: Resolution No. 99 -110 - Authorization to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between the Town of Marana and Pima County for the management and implementation of the 1999 Community Development Block Grant Program DISCUSSION: Pima County has applied to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for funding of the 1999 Community Development Block Grant Program. If Pima County is successful in securing these funds, the Town and Pima County desire to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement for management and implementation of the program. The IGA will expire December 31, 2000. The attached IGA sets forth the terms and conditions for the management and implementation of the CDBG program and funds. RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that Council authorize the Mayor to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement between the Town and Pima County for the management and implementation of 1999 Community Development Block Grant funds according to the terms and conditions set forth in the attached IGA.
