RELATING TO COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT`; APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE ONE OR MORE QUITCLAIM DEEDS IN FAVOR OF
HABITAT FOR I- UMANITy TUCSON FOR LOT 49 of IIONEA HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION
AND LOTS I AND 4 AND PARCEL A OF SYDNEY PLACE SUBDIVISION TO BE USED
FOR AFFORDABLE WORKFORCE HOUSING
WHEREAS the Town of Marana recognizes the need to provide safe, affordable
workforce housing for its citizens; and
WHEREAS The Town of Marana has received Community Development Block Grant
(CDBG) funding from Pima County for Affordable Housing Land .Acquisition; and
WHEREAS Habitat for Humanity Tucson, Inc., an Arizona charitable corporation,
provides affordable workforce housing through its Marana Build y Habitat program; and
WHEREAS Marana Resolution No. 2007 -26 established a Town partnership with Habitat
for Humanity Tucson to build affordable housing on property purchased through the CDBG
Program; and;
WHEREAS the Town acquired the properties that are the subject of this resolution for
affordable housing; and
WHEREAS the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana find that this resolution is in
the best interests of the Town of Marana and its citizens.
Now, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF MAR ANA, that the Town Manager is hereby authorized to sign quit claim deeds on
behalf of the Town of Marana, quit - claiming to Habitat for Humanity Tucson the Town's
interest, if any, in and to all of the following:
■ 12652 North Morgan Avenue, also identified as Pima County Assessor's Parcel
number 217 -52 -0850; legally described as Lot 49 of flonea Heights subdivision,
recorded in the office of the Recorder of Pima County, Arizona, at Book 12 of Maps
and Plats, Page 58
i Lots I and 4 and Parcel A of Sydney Place subdivision, recorded in the off "ice of the
Recorder of Pima County, Arizona, at Book 64 of Maps and Plats, Page 99 (Sequence
20092420577)
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Manager and staff are hereby directed and
authorized to take such steps as necessary or prudent to assure that the properties quit - claimed
pursuant to this resolution are used to provide safe, affordable workforce housing.

authorized to undertake all other and further tasks re or beneficial to carr out the
objectives of this resolution.
