Goals: Develop airport goals consistent with regional opportunities and specific airport strengths www.marana.com Marana Regional Airport Prioritized Goals Priority Goals 1 Develop new comprehensive marketing plan for the Marana Regional Airport. 2 Improve working and political relationships with Federal, State, and Local funding agencies. 3 Identify new funding opportunities for infrastructure improvements. 4 Attract additional flight training operators and traffic to the Airport. 5 Pursue new joint Air Traffic Control Tower for the Marana Regional Airport and Pinal Airpark, or single tower for AVQ if joint tower not possible. 6 Pursue Markets That Differentiate AVQ. 7 Build new AVQ Terminal Facilities. 8 Attract new specialty air service providers to the Marana Regional Airport. www.marana.com Marana Economic Activity Centers www.marana.com Achieving Future Business Growth How planning charts a path to the future. Provides for coordination between Airport development and associated needs of other Economic Activity Centers of the Town Airport businesses were identified that may be beneficial to future airport development. Future success hinges on assets that the Town of Marana already has: –Quality of life –Strong community Support –Skilled labor market –Appropriate infrastructure –Access to major markets www.marana.com A Priority Approach & Action Plan Priorities for the Airport have been established combined with Action Plans necessary for implementation; Address facility and Infrastructure Issues Identify necessary funding sources Encourage Aviation Activity Growth Develop Airport Marketing Direction Non-Aeronautical Land Development Expand Business Partnerships Support for business and tourism activities within the Town and region. www.marana.com Next Steps The Strategic Airport Business Plan is now complete, and the Town is ready to execute recommendations and move forward.
