Marana Sign RegulationsTown Council Study Session - Working Draft Town staff’s sign draft:Regulation of permanent signs Allows signs anywhere within a larger development (‘sign premises’), and not just the particular property where the sign is located (‘sign property’) Decreases height and area of freestanding pylon signs (currently pole signs)Gives 25% incentive for exceptional quality monument & freestanding pylon signsChanges rules for Electronic Message Displays (EMD’s)Existing: 50% of sign area; 30‐second change rateProposed: entire sign area; 7.5‐second change rateTreats licensed adjacent right‐of‐way as part of the sign premises
