MINUTES
WELCOME
Vice Mayor Post called the meeting to order at 1:16 PM.
ROLL CALL:
Council Member and Staff Introductions
Roll Call: Mayor Honea (Absent); Vice Mayor Post; Council Member Bowen, (Absent)
Council member Comerford; council Member Kai, (Absent); Council Member
Officer, and council Member Ziegler.
Staff Present: Jamsheed Mehta, Town Manager; Frank Cassidy, Town Attorney; cherry
Lawson, Town clerk; Terry RoZema, Police Chief; Jason Angell, Development Services
Director; Keith Brann, Town Engineer; Lisa Shafer, Community & Neighborhood.
Services Director; Jim. Conroy, Parks & Recreation Director; John Kmiec, Water Director;
Hilary Hiser, Deputy Town cleric; Fausto Burruel, Assistant Public Works Director; Vic
Hathaway, Communications Manager, and. other Town employees were present.

DISCUSSION
1. Meet and mingle with members of the public in attendance to discuss various
issues related to the Town of. Marana.
Council Members Comerford and Ziegler spoke to residents and non-residents on
the following topics: future prospects of bringing a grocery store to the Gladden
Farms area; Animal Services and the success of the Vaccination Clinic.
Jan, Marana resident, spoke regarding the possibility of the Court having a Victims
Advocate to provide support services to victims.
Vice Mayor Post and Council Member Comerford spoke with CW Hall, USN
Retired Commander regarding having temporary housing opportunities for
veterans who are of low income or at risk of becoming homeless.
Council Member Officer spoke with residents concerning to the intergovernmental
agreement related to roadwork associated with state interchanges, The Villages of
Tortolita, Twin Peaks interchange as well as the development agreement to fund
the construction of a roadway connecting the Villages, San Lucas, and the Adonis
developments to Tangerine Farms on the east side of I-10. He also spoke to
residents spearing to their concerns regarding improvements to Lon Adams
roadway. Residents complimented the Town on the new Police facility.
