A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA,
ARIZONA, APPROVING A PRELIMINARY PLAT ON 19.80 ACRES, LOCATED IN
BLOCK 15 OF THE CONTINENTAL RESERVE BLOCK PLAT, WITHIN THE PIMA
FARMS SPECIFIC PLAN AREA, CONSISTING OF A 66-LOT SINGLE FAMILY
RESIDENTIAL SUBDIVISION. THIS PROPERTY LIES WITHIN SECTIONS 28 AND 33,
TOWNSHIP 12 SOUTH, RANGE 12 EAST, ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF CONTINENTAL
LOOP ROAD AND WEST OF PIMA RESERVE DRIVE.
WHEREAS, on May 30th, 1989 the Town of Marana adopted Ordinance 89.20 approving
the Pima Farms Specific Plan; and
WHEREAS, U.S. Home is the owner of approximately 19.80 acres within the
Continental Reserve boundary generally located in Sections 28 and 33, Township 12 South,
Range 12 East, and has applied to the Town of Marana for approval of a Preliminary Plat for 66
single family detached home lots on 19.80 acres, including lots 1 through 66 and common areas
"D" and "E"; and
WHEREAS, the Marana Planning Commission unanimously voted to recommend
approval of Continental Reserve Block 15 Preliminary Plat to the Town Council at its regular
meeting of January 28, 2004; and
WHEREAS, the Marana Town Council, at its regular meeting of February 17, 2004 has
determined that the Final Plat for Continental Reserve Block 15, should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of
Marana, Arizona, that the Preliminary Plat for Continental Reserve Block 15, submitted by U.S.
Home for a 66-1ot subdivision located within the boundary of Continental Reserve, on the south
side of Continental Loop Road and west of Pima Reserve Drive, in Sections 28 and 33,
Township 12 South, Range 12 East is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona,
this 17th day of February, 2004.
