WELCOME AND INTRODUCTION • Introduction of Town Council, Town Staff, and Legislators Mayor Ed Honea, Vice Mayor Jon Post, Council Member John Officer, Council Member Herb Kai, Council Members Patti Comerford (Excused); Roxanne Ziegler (Excused) and Dave Bowen (Excused), Town Manager Jamsheed Mehta, Town Attorney Frank Cassidy, Town Clerk Cherry Lawson, Assistant to the Town Manager Heath Vescovi-Chiordi, Senator Vince Leach, District 11; Representative Mark December 3, 2019 Legislative Meeting Summary Minutes 1 Finchem, District 11; Representative Bret Roberts, District 11; Julie Rees, Principal with TriAdvocates Inc.; Lourdes Pena, Public Affairs Advisor with TriAdvocates, and Kathleen Kunz, Reporter, Marana Newspaper. ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION/POSSIBLE ACTION D1 Relating to Intergovernmental Relations; presentation and discussion regarding the Town of Marana, specifically related to the Town's operations, projected growth, and legislative items of interest (Jamsheed Mehta) *Item amended 11/27/2019 at 9:37 a.m. Mr. Mehta provided a PowerPoint Presentation overview of the challenges and concerns of the Town of Marana, and a general discussion of the topics occurred with those in attendance. Below are highlights of the presentation. (A copy of the PowerPoint Presentation zvill be provided to the Town Cleric's Office to be placed on file for public viewing.) Growth in Marana: Quick Stats • 49,323 population • 127 sq. miles • 19 miles of I-10 bisect the Town • Span both Pima and Pinal Counties • Include both LDs 11 and9 • 803 Single Family Residential permits in FY19 (7/2018-6/2019) • 754 Single Family Residential permits in calendar year 2019 Marana Development Areas • North Marana o Gladden Farms, Fianchetto Farms and Farm Field Five • Eastern Marana o Dove Mountain, Tangerine Ridge, Willow Vista • Southern Marana o Saguaro Bloom N.
