HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 88.29 Amending Ordinance 84.01 relating to speed limits for motor vehiclesORDINANCE NO. 88.29 AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA, AMENDING ORDINANCE 84.01 WHICH ESTABLISHED REASONABLE AND SAFE MAXIMUM SPEED LIMITS FOR MOTOR VEHICLES IN THE TOWN OF MARANA. WHEREAS the Town Council of the Town of Marana, has the authority under Title 28, Arizona Revised Statutes, to fix reasonable and safe maximum speed limits upon any part of a street or highway within the Town limits of the Town of Marana., and the Town Council having determined as a result of the traffic investigations reasonable and safe maximum limits thereon, now, therefore. BE IT O~DAI~ED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, Ai~IZONA, that the following shall be the reasonable and safe maximum limit on the following new or rebuilt roadways which are located within the Town limits of the Town of Marana: Section 1: Section 19 is amended to include the following: 45 miles per hour on Silverbell Road from the southerly Town limits to Twin Peaks Road. Section 2: 35 miles per hour on Cortaro Road from the southerly Town limits to Silverbell Road; 45 miles per hour on Cortaro Road from Silverbell Road to the 1-10 frontage road. Section 3: 35 miles per hour on Twin Peaks Road from Silverbell Road to the Santa Cruz River. Section 4: 35 miles per hour on Coachline Boulevard from Silverbell Road to the northerly Town limits. Section 5: 25 miles~per hour on all local residential streets within the Continental Ranch annexations. Section 6: All other provisions of Ordinance 84.01 shall remain in full force and effect until amended by action of the Council of the Town of Marana. PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA, this 20th day of December, 1988.
