SUBJECT: Discussion: Televised Council Meetings
DISCUSSION
During the design phase of the new Municipal Complex, infrastructure was installed to support
the future needs ofthe Town, including the ability to televise Council Meetings so that a broader
audience can have access to the Town's business.
Staff is in the process of investigating necessary equipment and associated costs to complete the
initial design. It is anticipated that final implementation will include the purchase ofTV-quality
cameras, back-end equipment in the media room, additional lighting for the dais and
miscellaneous audio visual equipment.
Staff is working with an audio visual vendor as well as the City of Tucson Channe112 staff to
gather the necessary details. At this time, the estimated cost of completion of this project is
$90,000.
