RELATING TO PUBLIC NUISANCE AND PROPERTY PRESERVATION; REVIEW
AND APPROVAL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA CODE ENFORCEMENT POLICY FOR
ENFORCING MARANA TOWN CODE TITLE 18 (PUBLIC NUISANCE AND
PROPERTY PRESERVATION)
WHEREAS pursuant to Marana Town Code Title 18 (Public Nuisance and
Property Preservation), adopted on November 16, 2021 by Marana Ordinance No.
2021.025, the Town of Marana recognizes the importance of protecting neighborhoods
from blight and deteriorating conditions that have a negative impact on the health and
safety of the community and that encourage social disorder and crime; and
WHEREAS it is the responsibility of Code Enforcement officers and other town
officials to enforce the provisions of Title 18; and
WHEREAS the Mayor and Council find that approving a Code Enforcement policy
for enforcing Title 18 is in the best interest of the Town and its citizens.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE TOWN OF MARANA, that the Code Enforcement Policy, in substantially the form
attached to and incorporated by this reference in this resolution as Exhibit A, is hereby
approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana,
Arizona, this 16th day of November, 2021.
