My vision for Marana is to find the right balance between growth and maintaining the small town feeling that makes Marana a wonderful place to live. What are some of the most important concerns or issues that you think the Town will have to face in the next 5 - 10 years? Managing growth and influx of commercial industry in a manner that assures that the resources are able to keep up and manage the demands that the growth brings. Accessibility and small town feel, while still having the retail and commercial needs of the citizens, which keeps the tax revenue local. Please explain your professional background I have recently retired from a 31 year career in law enforcement, and accepted a job with Oro Valley Police as their civilian public information officer. If appointed by the Council you will be representing all of the Town of Marana in your decisions. Describe how you will maintain your objectivity in making decisions for locations other than your own residence. I truly believe that all decisions should be based on the facts known and what is best for all that are represented. In my 31 years in aw enforcement, I prided myself in being able to make decisions based on the facts and not allowing emotions to cloud those decisions. I would apply that same mentality to decisions brought before the board, and vote based on what is best for all of Marana.
