Home My WebLink AboutResolution 2007-085 adopting the results of the general election held on may 15, 2007 RESOLUTION NO. 2007-85 RELATING TO ELECTIONS: DECLARING AND ADOPTING THE RESULTS OF THE GENERAL ELECTION HELD ON MAY 15,2007. WHEREAS, the Town of Marana, Pima County, Arizona, did hold a general election on the 15th day of May, 2007, for the election of two Council Members; and WHEREAS, the election returns have been presented to and have been canvassed by the Town Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, Pima County, Arizona, as follows: SECTION 1: That the total number of ballots cast at said general election, as confirmed by Pima County, was 2,731. SECTION 2: That 1157 early ballots were processed and counted; 0 ballots rejected. SECTION 3: That 55 provisional ballots were received; 47 ballots verified and counted; 8 ballots unverified and uncounted. SECTION 4: That the votes cast for the candidates for Council Member were as follows: Name Vote Total Robert Allen Jim Blake Russell Clanagan Roxanne Ziegler 906 631 1,858 1,621 SECTION 5: That it is hereby found, determined and declared of record, that the following candidates did receive more than one-half of the total number of valid votes cast and will be issued a certificate of election: Russell Clanagan Roxanne Ziegler SECTION 6: This resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its adoption.
