SECTION 36-2210. WHERF~S, the Emergency Medical Services Coordinating Council is a locally con'.rolled entity designed to perform the functions of a local emer- ?ency medical services coordinalin? system, pursuan~ to Statu~e and the rules and regulations of the Arizona Depart, men% of Health ices; and~ WHEREAS, the Town of Mararia is supportive of a mechanism ~o e~hance ~he ability of vhe operators of ~S systems components ~o operate ef- ficiently and effectively through consultation, Coordination ~ %he provisions of requested %echnieal and plarmin~ assistance~ end, W,HEREAS, the Tovm of ~Varana of 1Mrana, Arizona, reco~nizes the need to up- date and imolement the k2m. ergency ~dical ~ 'ce= _ oerVZ ~ Plan for eas ~e~ n, Arizona: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by %he Ccnu~o~ Coumcil of the Town of Marana, Arizona as follows: That ~:ergency Medical Services Coordinating Council of Southeastern Arizona is recornized as the local emergency medical service COordi- nating system for HSA Distrio'5 11 under the requirements of Arizona Revised Statutes, Section 41-1849. ?nat ~mergency 5~dical Services Coordinatin~ Council of Southeastern Arizona is authorized and required to provide assistance, including pla.~unin~, eoordinatins and financial assistance for programs and projects affecting local governments within HSA District 11. That ~m-~r~ency ~dica! Services Coordinating Council of Southeastern Arizona shall be required to report to the Pima Association of Govern- ments and the Southeastern Arizona Governments OrEanization, on a timely basis, all actions undertaken in relation to local govermments within HSA District ll. That this endorsement shall not constitute an authorization for ex- penditure of Town of D~arana funds without further action of the Corem. on Council.
