A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF M~ARANA,
ARIZONA, PROVIDING NOTICE OF THE REGULAR PRIMARY ELECTION;
ESTABLISHING POLLING PLACES AND THE TI~VfES THAT SUCH POLLS
WILL BE OPEN; AND APPOINTING ELECTION OFFICIALS AND FIXING
THEiK COMPENSATION.
WHEREAS, it is provided by law for the holding of a Primary
Election; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council has by resolution called a
Primary Election to be held on March 17, 1987.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of
the Town of Mararia, as follows:
Section 1. Designation of Election Date
That the Town Primary Election be held on Tuesday, March 17,
1987 for the purpose of electing candidates for the offices of
Councilmember. (Any candidate receiving a majority of all of
the votes cast at the Primary Election will be declared elected
withou[ running at the General Municipal Election.)
Section 2. Polling Places
12775 North Sanders Road, Marana, Arizona 85653
The polls shall be open from 6:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M.
Section 3. Election Officials and Their Compensation
The following officers are hereby appointed to conduct the
Primary Election.
Inspector - Gay Nel Robinson
Judge Iva Lee Chumbley
Judge -Wilda K. Frew
Clerk Elsia Noriega
Clerk Iradell White
Marshal Theresa Gauderie
The compensation of each of the officers is fixed at the sum
of $ 70.00 per day for the election; provided, that a minimum
of $ 30.00 per day must be paid to each such officer. If any
member should fail to appear and serve, the Town Clerk shall
appoint a qualified substitute.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of
M~rana, Arizona, this 3rd day of February 1987.
