HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 88-003 Membership in the Coronado Resource Conservation DistrictRESOLUTION NO. 88-03 RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA APPLYING FOR MEMBERSHIP TO THE CORONADO RESOURCE CONSERVATION DISTRICT. WHEREAS, a Resource Conservation and Development Project helps to bring about a bet=er place for people to live, work; and play and creates a base for new jobs, higher income, outdoor recreation and beautification of the countryside; and WHEREAS, the U.S. Depar=ment of Agriculture, by authority of the Food and Agriculture Act of 1962, gives technical and financial help to local groups in the conservation and development of natural resources in their area and assists project sponsors, seek funds and services from other Federal agencies and from State and local sources; and WHEREAS, Resource Conservation and Development projects are sponsored by local qroups such as County Boards of Supervisors, Towns, Cities, Soil and Water Conservation Districts; and WHEREAS, the Town of Marana, has a policy of cooperating with other units of governments and public organizations for the common good of its citizens, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona, that the Town co-sponsor an application to the Secretary of Agriculture under the terms of the Food and Agriculture Act of 1962 for assistance in planning and carrying out a program of action to be known as the Coronado Resource Conservation and Development Project. PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 1st day of March, 1988 by the Mayor and Council, of the Town of Marana, Arizona. ATTEST: Town Cle~4( ~
