HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 88-014 Setting a schedule of fees for various development reviewsRESOLUTION NO. 88-14 A RESOLUTION OF 'law- TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA SETTING A SCHEDULE OF FEES FOR VARIOUS DEVELOPMENT REVIEWS. WHEREAS, Resolution 87.07 was adopted MAY 18, 1987, and the Town Council now wishes to rescind same; and WHEREAS, the Town of Marana will experience growth relating to residential and commercial development; and WHEREAS, the Town of Marana will incur expenses related to development related plan reviews; and WHEREAS, the Town Development Code does not fully set development review fees. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Town Council of the Town of Mararia, Arizona: Section 1. That Resolution no. 87.07 is hereby Resinded. Section 2. That the Town Council adopts and sets the following fee schedule for the various development related reviews: 'I'~SE FEES ARE TO BE PAID IN ADVANCE AND ARE NOT REFUNDABLE. REVIEW OF OTHER REPORTS Fees for review of other miscellaneous reports, such as geotechnical, traffic, and environmental impact shall $ 70.00 per hour with a three (3) hour minimum. be at REVIEW LANDSCAPE PLANS Base Fee $ 150.00 Plus $ 50.00 per sheet* * Excluding cover sheet, except in the case of one-sheet plans. One-sheet plans shall be assessed at the base fee, plus one plan sheet. ROADWAY IMPROVEMENT ?I~kN REVIEW Base Fee Plus $ 350.00 $ 85.00 per plan sheet (excluding cover sheets) BRIDGE PLAN REVIEW Review of any structural plans, specifications, and calculation such as bridges, culverts, drop structures, etc., shall be subject to fees covering independent consultant review time, or a percentage of estimated construction costs, per following table, as determined necessary and appropriate by the Town Engineer. TOTAL VALUATION FEE $ 1 to $ 500 $ 15.00 $ 501 to $ 2,000 $ 15.00 for the first $ 500 plus $2.00 for each additional $100.00 or fraction thereof, to and including $2,000. $ 2,001 to $ 25,000 $ 45.00 for the first $2,000 plus $9.00 for each additional $1,000 or fraction thereof, to and including $ 25,000. $ 25,001 to $ 50,000 $ 252.00 for the first $25,000 plus $ 6.50 for each additional $1,000 or fraction thereof, to and including $50,000. $ 50,001 to $ 100,000 $ 414.50 for the first $50,000 plus $4.50 for each additional $1,000 or fraction thereof, to and including $100,000. $ 100,001 to $500,000 $ 639.50 for the first $100,000 plus $3.50 for each additional $1,000 or fraction thereof, $ 500,001 to $1,000,000 $ 2039.50 for the first $500,000 plus $3.00 for each additional $1,000 or fraction thereof, to and including $1,000.000. 1,000,001 and up 3539.50 for the first $1,000,000 plus $2.00 for each additional $1,000,000 or fraction thereof. GOLF COURSE PLAN Base Fee $ 300.00 Plus $ 25.00 per plan sheet For clearing, gradinG and earthwork within a proposed or existing golf course: Base Fee $ 50.00 Plus $ 15.00 per grading plan sheet 5 PUBLIC/SEMI-PUBLIC WATER SYSTEM PLAN REVIEW Base Fee $ 350.00 Plus* $ 85.00 per plan sheet * Excluding cover sheet, except in the case of one-sheet plans. One-sheet plans shall be assessed at tke base fee, plus one plan sheet. PUBLIC/SEMI-PUBLIC POOL PLAN REVIEW Base Fee $ 200.00 Plus $ 70.00 per hour (3-hour minimum) Review of any structural plans,. specifications, and calculations such as pools, retaining walls, etc., shall be subject to additional fees covering independent consultant review time as determined necessary and appropriate by the Town Engineer. SEWER IMPROVEMENT PLAN REVIEW Base Fee Plus* 350.00 85.00 per plan sheet *Excluding cover sheet, except in the case of one-sheet plans. One-sheet plans shall be assessed at the base fee, plus one plan sheet. .~EVIEW OF PLANS FOR WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITY Base Fee $ 450.00 Plus* $ 85.00 per plan sheet *Excluding cover sheet. Review of any structural plans, specifications, and calculations such as buildings, foundations, etc., shall be subject to additional fees covering independent consultant review time as determined necessary and appropriate by ;he Town Engineer. REVIEW OF INDIVIDUAL SEPTIC SYSTEM PLANS Base Fee $ 100.00 Plus $ 85.00 per plan sheet Plus, monitor percolation testing $ 70.00 per hour Plus, each additional inspection $ 70.00 per hour Plus, certification $ 25.00 MISCELLANEOUS INSPECTIONS Fees for any construction inspection by the office of the Town Engineer shall be assessed at the greater of $ 70.00 per hour or: For supervision of Designer Certified projects 1% of Bid Price, for full Town inspection and certification - 2% of Bid Price. The above fee schedule (excluding i~spections) is considered adequate to cover costs incurred for reviews of the initial submittal, and one resubmittal of the respective plans. If subsequent resubmittals are required to obtain Town approval of said plans, then fees for each subsequent resubmittal shall be assessed at the rate of 50% of the fees listed above.
