HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 89-024 amending IGA with pima county regarding the enforcement of ARS title 24 relating to dogsRESOLUTION NO. 89-24 A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO A CERTAIN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE TOWN OF MARANA AND PIMA COUNTY RELATING TO THE ENFORCEMENT OF TITLE 24, ARIZONA REVISED STATUTES WHEREAS, the Marana Town Council did, on the 6th day of June, 1989, adopt Resolution NO. 89-22 authorizing the Mayor to execute an Intergovernmental Agreement between the Town of Marana and Pima County for the enforcement of Title 24, Arizona Revised Statutes; and WHEREAS, paragraph 7 of that certain Intergovernmental Agreement calls for the term of the agreement to be July 1, 1989 through September 30, 1989; and WHEREAS, it does not appear that the Pima County Board of Supervisors will be able to take action on that certain Intergovernmental Agreement and file same until on or about August 15, 1989. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute any and all documents necessary to amend paragraph 7 of the aforementioned Intergovernmental Agreement to provide for a term commencing August 15, 1989 through November 14, 1989, or for such additional commencement necessary safety of provided, however, that the total term dates as may be necessary, of the agreement shall not be more than 90 days. WHEREAS, the immediate operation of this Resolution is for the preservation of the public peace, health and the Town of Marana, Arizona, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona this 5TH day of JULY , 1989. ATTEST: MAYOR TOWN CLE ~P~/ -- -APPROVED AS TO FORM: 2 'P,?EMENT,,- FOR ADDENDUM TO INTERGOVERNMENTAL SERVICES BETWEEN THE TOWN OF MARANX -'PIMA?'dbUNTY RELATING TO THE ENFORCEMENT OF TIfq--?2, REVISED STATUTES and thlB WHEREAS, the parties have exprei?.-deei-re- to- -enter- into an Intergovernmental Agreement for the enforcement of Title 24, Arizona Revised Statutes; and WHEREAS, the intent of the parties is to have that agreement in effect for a 90 day period; and WHEREAS, it appears that the Pima County Board of Supervisors will not take final action on the foregoing Intergovernmental Agreement and have same filed until on or about August 15, 1989. NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the covenants herein contained, and for other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged by each party to the other, it is hereby agreed that paragraph 7 of that certain Intergovernmental Agreement for services between the Town of Marana and Pima County relating to the enforcement of Title 24, Arizona Revised Statutes shall be amended to read as follows: 117. The term of this agreement shall begin August 15, 1989 and shall continue until November 14, 1989." IN WITNESS WHEREOF, we have hereunto set our hands this day of f 1989.
