A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA,
ARIZONA RELATING TO THE AMERICAN FLAG
WHEREAS,
freedom throughout the world; and
WHEREAS, the American flag represents
traditions of the United States of America; and
WHEREAS, thousands of American men
their blood and died to uphold the values
the American flag is a symbol of democracy and
the finest
and women have shed
and traditions for
which the American flag stands; and
WHEREAS, the recent decision of the United States
Supreme Court is an insult to American servicemen and
servicewomen who have served and in some cases died for their
country.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of

desecrate nor denigrate the American flag unless otherwise
allowed for the proper retirement of the flag.
PASSED AND MOPTED, by the Town Council of the Town of
Marana, Arizona this 5th of July, 1989.
