HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 90-005 setting a fee schedule for grading and related site work on private propertyRESOLUTION NO. 90-05 A RESOLUTION ~F THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA SETTING A SCHEDULE OF FEES FOR GRADING AND RELATED SITE WORK ON PRIVATE PROPERTY. WHEREAS Ordinance 90.03 was adopted by the Town Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona on January 16, 1990 providing for a permit procedure for requlating grading and related site work on private property in the Town of Marana by adding Title 19 to the Town De- velopment Code and WHEREAS, said Title 19 provides that permit fees shall be payable to the Town of Marana in accordance with a fee schedule to be adopted by the Town of Marana; and WHEREAS, the Town of Marana will incur expenses related to grading plan review in assuring that Town standards will be met; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Town Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona: Section 1: Payment for the appropriate assessed grading and related site work permit fee shall accompany an application for a Grading Permit. Fees are not refundable. Section 2: Fees for a Type 1 Grading Permit shall be assessed according to the following scale: Base Fee ............................. $ 100.00 Plan Check Fee ........................ $ 175.00 Greater of $ 100 or 2% of Construction Cost ..................... $ TOTAL ........................... Section 3: Fees for a Type 2 Grading Permit shall be assessed according to the following scale: $ 100.00 Base Fee .......... ~.-~.~.~ .... Plan Check Fee Per so or changes ................... $ Greater of $ ~6~ ~r ~ ~ Construction Cost .................... $ TOTAL ........................... Applicant will be responsible for self-certification in accordance with a Private Improvement Agreement, excuted before the permit is issued. Section 4: All applicants shall also be held responsible for the following costs if, in the judgment of the Town Manager, they are judged to be reasonable or necessary to ascertain that the work when completed will meet the con- ditions of the permit or of Title 19 of the Town Development Code; Testing of compaction and/or materials Repeated inspections by Town staff at the rate of $ 70.00 per hour, with a minimum of one-half hour per inspection. Any costs of testing required by or incurred by the Town Engineer. Section 5: Fees to be paid by the applicant for a Waiver at the time the application is filed are non-refundable and shall be as follows: Type 1 Permit ............................ Type 2 Permit ............................ $ 100.00 $ 250.00 In addition, the applicant shall reimburse the Town of Mararia for all mailing costs. Section 6: Fees to be paid by the applicant for an Interpretation Review at the time the application is filed are non-refundable and shall be as follows: Type 1 Permit ........................... Type 2 Permit ........................... $ 100.00 $ 250.00 In addition, the applicant shall reimburse the Town of Marana for all mailing costs. Section 7: WHEREAS, the immediate operation of this Resolution is necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety of the Town of Marana, Arizona, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and adoption.
