A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA,
ARIZONA TO CONTRACT WITH PIMA COUNTY DIVISION OF ELECTIONS
FOR THE CONDUCT OF A SPECIA~ ELECTION TO BE HELD ON
MAY 15, 1990
WHEREAS the Town Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona
did call for an election to be held on May 15, 1990 for the
purpose of obtaining approval of the Town voters for the Town
Council to levy a primary property tax within the Town; and
WHEREAS the Town is empowered pursuant to Title 16,
Arizona Revised Statutes, to contract with the Pima County Board
of Supervisors and the Pima County Recorder for election
services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor is hereby
authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the Pima
County Division of Elections with respect to that certain special
election to be held on May 15, 1990, and to execute any and all
documents necessary to effectuate the foregoing.
WHEREAS, the immediate operation of this Resolution is
necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and
safety of the Town of Marana, Arizona, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist, and this Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Council of the Town
of Marana, Arizona this 12th day of March, 1990.
