A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA,
AMENDING PERSONNEL POLICY 03.03.01, 03.03.02 AND 03.03.03 AND
REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 90-36
WHEREAS the Marana Town Council wishes to amend the Person-
nel Policy dealing with Town observed Holidays;
WHEREAS the Mararia Town Council wishes to recognize those
persons who have and continue to work for improved civil Rights
for all Americans by designating a Civil Rights Awareness Day, to
be officially observed on the 3rd Monday in January. Said Holiday
is effective on January 1, 1993 and every year thereafter;
WHEREAS the Mararia Town Council wishes to delete and omit
December 24 (Christmas Eve) as an official paid and observed Town
of Mararia Holiday, effective January 1, 1993.
WHEREAS the Marana Town Council affirms the observance of
ten (10) paid Town of Mararia Holidays, effective July 1, 1992 and
every Fiscal Year thereafter;
WHEREAS the Marana Town Council affirms that the ten (10)
official Town Holidays be scheduled consistent with the U.S.
Federal Holiday observance calender schedule effective July 1,
1992 and every Fiscal Year thereafter;
WHEREAS the Marana Town Council affirms that all full time,
eligible Town employees be paid at a compensation rate of
straight time, if their respective work duties do not require
them to work on any of the official Town Holidays;
WHEREAS the Marana Town Council affirms that any full time,
eligible Town employee, required by their work assignments to
work on any of the official Town Holidays, will be compensated
for work performed at a rate of double time;
NOW, TR~KEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Town Council
that the amendments stated above to the Town of Marana's Person-
nel Policy 03.03 be approved and consistent language be substi-
tuted in the Town's Personnel Policy.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Town Council of the Town
of Marana, Arizona this 3rd day of March, 1992.
