A 1LESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF TIKE TOWN OF MARANA,
ARIZONA, SUPPORTING ARIZONA TORT REFORM KNOWN AS SB-1055, AND
ENCOURAGING THE ARIZONA SENATE TO PASS SAID LEGISLATION.
WIlERE. AS, the Senate Judiciary Committee has voted by a two-thirds margin to send
legislation known as SB-1055 to the full Senate,
WI-Ig.P..EAS, the full Senate is to vote on and take other action relating to SB-1055.
~, the Town Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona wishes to make its
position as to the passage of SB-1055 known to the Arizona Senate, House of Representatives,
and the public at large,
NOW, TI4~REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED byth¢ Town Council of the Town of Mm'ana,
Arizona, that it hereby shows its support for ton reform as it relates to the liability of towns in
Arizona, and supports the passage of SB-1055. By this resolution, the Town Council of the
Town of Marana hopes to convey to District i1 Senator, Peter Goudinoff, and the entire gaSzona
Senate, its support for the passage of SB-1055.
The Mayor, Town Manager, and Town Clerk are authorized and directed to contact any
necessary parties within the Arizona Senate and/or House of Representatives in order to convey
the content of this lgesolution and show our support for SB-1055.
PASSED, ADO~I~ AND APPROVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of
Mararia, Arizona, this ~ day of February, 1993.
