A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA,
ARIZONA, APPROVING THE PRELIMINARY PLAT FOR PARCEL 51 IN THE
CONTINENTAL RANCH SPECIFIC PLAN, WITH CONDITIONS.
WHEREAS, the Town of Marana has previously approved the Specific Plan for the area
known as Continental Ranch, located within the corporate boundaries of the Town of Marana,
Arizona; and
WHEREAS, Richmond American Homes is the owner of Parcel 51 (fifty-one) in
Continental Ranch, and has applied to the Town of Marana for approval of the Preliminary Plat
thereof; and
WHEREAS, the Preliminary Plat was presented to the Marana Planning Commission on
May 25, 1994, and again on June 29, 1994, and on June 29, 1994, the Planning Commission
recommended approval of the Preliminary Plat; and
WHEREAS, the Marana Town Council heard from the representative of the owner, staff,
and members of the public at the Regular Town Council Meeting held July 19, 1994, and again
on August 2, 1994.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona that the
Preliminary Plat of Parcel 51 of Continental Ranch is approved, with the following conditions:
1. Lots 71 through 79 shall be developed only with single story homes.
The median cut-out, as it affects this project's access, shall be relocated to the south, so as
to match up with Carefree Road (this project's main entrance). The Developer shall
contribute fifty-five thousand ($55,000.00) dollars toward the cost of the median relocation,
and the Town of Maran& at its sole discretion, shall have the right to waive the requirement
that the median cut-out be relocated.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona,
this 16th day of August, 1994.
