A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
MARANA, ARIZONA, APPROVING A UNIFORM PATTERN FOR USE IN
DESIGNATING TOWN MOTOR VEHICLES.
WHEREAS, A.R.S. § 28-1441 requires motor vehicles owned or leased by a political
subdivision by the State for a period of six (6) months or more to bear the designation of the
name of the political subdivision and the department or agency thereof in a visible manner, and
A.R.S. § 28-1442 requires the governing body of a political subdivision to approve a uniform
pattern tbr use in designating the political subdivision motor vehicles, except those for which
an exemption has been approved by the Mayor and Council; and
WHEREAS, the governing body finds it in the public interest to approve a uniform
pattern for designating Town motor vehicles.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana. Arizona as follows:
SECTION 1. The uniform pattern for designating Town motor vehicles, except police
department motor vehicles, shall consist of the Town logo with the appropriate department set
forth above the logo and the words "For Official Use Only" set forth below the logo.
SECTION 2. The uniform pattern for designating police department motor vehicles shall
be as set forth in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona,
this 17th day of October, 1994.

TO
RESOLUTION NO. 94-29
The uniform pattern for marlring Town of Marana police vehicles shall consist of the
words "MARANA" in three inch letters and "POLICE" in six inch letters set forth on both the
driver and passenger sides of the vehicles. The word "POLICE" in three inch letters shall be
set forth across the back of the vehicles.
