A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA,
ARIZONA, ACTING AS THE MARANA BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT, GRANTING A
VARIANCE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF TRICO-
MARANA ROAD AND INTERSTATE 10.
WI-I~g.F. AS, Stanley and Jackie Gladden own a Chevron gas station and property located
at the Southwest comer of Trico-Marana Road and Interstate 10, more specifically identified on
Exhibit A, and intend to construct a covered fuel-bay with canopy within the existing sethack;
and
WHF_REAS, the Marana Land Development Code requires a front yard setback of forty-
eight and one-half (48"6") feet, and the owners have requested a variance to reduce the front
yard setback to twenty-two (22) feet; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council, acting as the Board of Adjustment, and pursuant to
A.R.S. §9-462.06 is empowered to grant such variance, and betieves that such variance is
authorized by A.R.S. §9-462.06 and is in the best interests of the Town of Mararia, Arizona.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RF_fOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of
Mararia, Arizona, acting as the Board of Adjustment, that property described on Exhibit A
hereto be granted a variance to the front yard setback, from forty-eight and one-half (48'6") feet
to twenty-two (22') feet allowing the conslruction of a gas pump canopy, although the supporting
colurns for the structure shall adhere to a thirty eight (38') foot setback..
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona,
this 2rid day of May, 1995.
