HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 95-064 adopting program regulations for the Home investment partnerships programRESOLUTION NO. 95-64 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA, ADOPTING PROGRAM REGULATIONS FOR THE HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIPS PROGRAM. WHEREAS, the Town of Marsha desires to engage in housing and community development activities as authorized under the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 and subsequent amendments; and WHEREAS, the Town of Marana has previously authorized the formation of a Home Investment Parmerships Program in conjunction with Pima County on May 23, 1995 by Resolution No. 95-30; and WI-IF. REAS, the Town of Mararia has determined that regulations and standard forms are necessary to the govern the Home Investment Parmerships Program; and WIq-EREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Marana has reviewed the proposed Home Investment Partnerships Program Regulations and Forms and has determined that the adoption of the proposed Home Investment Parmerships Program Regulations and Forms is in the best interests of the Town of Marsha, Arizona. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marsha, Arizona, that the Home Investment Partnerships Program Regulations and Forms for the Town of Mararia, attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by this reference, are hereby adopted by the Town of Marana, Arizona. Hochuli Town Attorney Resolution No. 95-64 Page 1 of 1 M~EMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING On July 5, 1995 Pima County and the Town of Marana entered into an Intergovernmental Cooperative Agreement for the Community Development Block Grant Program and the Home Investment Partnership Program. The agreement included the statement "this contact is subject to the provisions of A.R.S. 38-511". In order to comply with federal regulations Pima County and the Town of Marana agree not to exercise any fight to cancel this Agreement which the parties may have pursuant to Arizona Revised Statutes Ann. 38-511.
