HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2002-009 preliminary plat for continental reserve block 10MARANA RESOLUTION NO. 2002-09 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA, APPROVING A PRELIMINARY PLAT ON 24.88 ACRES, LOCATED WITHIN THE PIMA FARMS SPEC~IC PLAN AREA, CONSISTING OF A 69-LOT SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL SUBDIVISION. THIS PROPERTY LIES WITHIN SECTION 28, TOWNSHIP 12 SOUTH, RANGE 12 EAST, ON THE WEST SIDE OF CONTINENTAL RESERVE LOOP ROAD AND SOUTH OF PIMA FARMS ROAD. WHEREAS, on May 30th, 1989 the Town of Marana adopted Ordinance 89.20 approving the Pima Farms Specific Plan; and WHEREAS, on February 15, 2000 the Town of Marana adopted Resolution 2000-19 approving the Final Block Plat on Continental Reserve; and WHEREAS, Diamond Ventures, Inc. is the owner of approximately 24.88 acres within the Continental Reserve boundary generally located in Section 28, Township 12 South, Range 12 East and has applied to the Town of Marana for approval of a preliminary plat for 69 single- family detached home lots on 24.88 acres, including lots I through 69 and common areas "A" through "H"; and WHEREAS, the Marana Planning and Zoning Comraission heard from the representative(s) of the owner, staff, and members of the public at the regular Planning and Zoning Commission meeting held December 19, 2001 and unanimously voted to recommend approval of the Continental Reserve Block 10 Preliminary Plat to the Town Council; and WHEREAS, the Marana Town Council has heard from the representative(s) of the owner, staff, and members of the public at the regular Town Council meeting held February 5, 2002 and has detem~ined that the Preliminary Plat for Continental Reserve Block 10 should be approved. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona, that the Preliminary Plat for Continental Reserve Block 10, submitted by Diamond Ventures, Inc. for an 69-1ot subdivision located within the boundary of Continental Reserve, west of Continental Reserve Loop Road and south of Pima Farms Road, in Section 28, Township 12 South, Range 12 East is hereby approved.
