A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA,
ARIZONA, APPROVING A FINAL PLAT ON 21.39 ACRES, LOCATED ON BLOCK 13 OF
THE CONTINENTAL RESERVE BLOCK PLAT, WITHIN THE PIMA FARMS SPECIFIC
PLAN AREA, CONSISTING OF A 76-LOT SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL
SUBDIVISION. THIS PROPERTY LIES WITHIN SECTION 28, TOWNSHIP 12 SOUTH,
RANGE 12 EAST, ON THE NORTH SIDE OF CONTINENTAL RESERVE LOOP ROAD
AND WEST OF ARTESIANO ROAD.
WHEREAS, on May 30*, 1989 the Town of Marana adopted Ordinance 89.20 approving
the Pima Farms Specific Plan; and
WHEREAS, on February 15, 2000 the Town of Marana adopted Resolution 2000-19
approving the Fina_i Block Plat on Continental Reserve; and
WHEREAS, The Genessee Co. is the owner of approximately 21.39 acres within the
Continental Reserve boundary generally located in Section 28, Township 12 South, Range 12
East and has applied to the Town of Marana for approval of a Final Plat for 76 single family
detached home lots on 21.39 acres, including lots 1 through 76 and common areas "A" through
"L"; and
WHEREAS, the Marana Planning and Zoning Commission, at their regular meeting of
January 30, 2002, unanimously voted to recommend approval of the Cominental Reserve Block
13 Final Plat to the Town Council; and
WHEREAS, the Marana Town Council, at their regular meeting of April 2, 2002, has
determined that the Final Plat for Continental Reserve Block 13 should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana,
Arizona, that the Fina_l Plat for Continental Reserve Block 13, submitted by The Genessee Co.
for a 76-Iot subdivision located within the boundary of Continental Reserve, north of
Continental Reserve Loop Road and west of Artesiano Road, in Section 28, Township 12
South, Range 12 East is hereby approved.
