HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2002-014 final plat for continental reserve block 9MARANA RESOLUTION NO. 2002-14 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, AKIZONA, APPROVING A FINAL PLAT ON 37.55 ACRES, LOCATED ON BLOCK 9 OF THE CONTINENTAL RESERVE BLOCK PLAT, WITHIN THE PIMA FARMS SPECIFIC PLAN AREA, CONSISTING OF A 165-LOT SINGLE FAMILY RESDENTIAL SUBDIVISION. THIS PROPERTY LIES WITHIN SECTION 28, TOWNSHIP 12 SOUTH, RANGE 12 EAST, ON THE EAST SIDE OF CONTINENTAL RESERVE LOOP ROAD AND WEST OF ARTESIANO ROAD. WHEREAS, on May 30th, 1989 the Town of Marana adopted Ordinance 89.20 approving the Pima Farms Specific Plan; and WHEREAS, on February 15, 2000 the Town of Marana adopted Resolution 2000-19 approving the Final Block Plat on Continental Reserve; and WHEREAS, Monterey Homes is the owner of approximately 37.55 acres within the Continental Reserve boundary generally located in Section 28, Township 12 South, Range 12 East and has applied to the Town of Marana for approval of a Final Plat for 165 single family detached home lots on 37.55 acres, including lots 1 through 165 and common areas "A" through "K"; and WHEREAS, the Marana Planning and Zoning Commission, at their regular meeting of January 30, 2002, unanimously voted to recommend approval of the Continental Reserve Block 9 Final Plat to the Town Council; and WHEREAS, the Marana Town Council, at their regular meeting of February 19, 2002 has determined that the Final Plat for Continental Reserve Block 9 should be approved. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona, that the Final Plat for Continental Reserve Block 9, submitted by Monterey Homes for a 165-1ot subdivision located within the boundary of Continental Reserve, east of Continental Reserve Loop Road and west of Artesiano Road, in Section 28, Township 12 South, Range 12 East is hereby approved.
